Dear Friends of the Steve McQueen Car Show, 

24 Hours………… or  less away but who’s counting! Because of the increased enthusiasm and perceived attendance we will open the gates at 7:00 AM for display cars and vendors.We have advertised that the gates will open to the public at 10:00 AM but we won’t be turning anyone away who wishes to enter earlier. Obviously if you arrive early it will give you an opportunity to look at the other cars before the general public enters.  We’ll have coffee and donuts available to purchase. 

We have a number of items we will be auctioning off in a Silent Auction Format.  These items will be on display for your review.Marshall Terrill will be there to autograph a limited number of his new book “Steve McQueen, A Tribute to the King of Cool”.  The book sells for $95.00 and its well worth it in my opinion and we will be able to take credit cards. Pricing is the same as the last two years; $20.00 for car and driver to display and $10.00 for each additional passenger, children under 12 Free.  If you’re only interested in attending the price is $10.00 per person, children under 12 are free. 

The Bullitt International Club is participating and we expect they will bring in 40 cars or more .We also have a special prize in the ‘Goodie Bag” for all Mustangs’ that will be displayed compliments of Ford Motor Company and Portrait Homes 

Chad McQueen and will bring his “New” 68 Mustang and has agreed to sign dash boards in consideration for a donation to the Boys Republic .

In case you didn’t know already we’re having the “Third Annual” Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show benefitting the Boys Republic on Saturday, June 5^th this year. The other good news is the price is still the same, $20.00 for car and driver to display and $10.00 for each additional passenger, children under 12 Free.  If you’re only interested in attending the price is $10.00 per person, children under 12 are free.

 We’re doing a few things differently this year: First of all we’re starting a little later. Gates open at 8:00 AM for display cars.  We’re asking that all display cars be in by 9:30 and we’ll open the gates to the public at 10:00 AM. There is free parking for non-display cars. 

Also a first for this year we are encouraging vendors to participate.  We have a limited number of vendor spaces still available should you be interested or know someone that would be.  There is a charge of $100.00 per 10x10 vendor booth.  We are also looking for items we can include in our raffle sales and encourage vendors to consider donating something for the raffle. ( A product or gift certificate to be used towards the purchase of their product.)

Chad McQueen will be there along with Matt Stone to sign Matt’s book “McQueen’s Machines a Hollywood Icon” and of course, Chad will bring a few of his dad’s old cars and possibly his “New” 68 Mustang, which is something to behold.

 We are expecting a very strong presence of Porsches from the many clubs including the 356 Club of Southern California, 912-Registry and Porsche Club of America. This is building up to be our best show yet and the big winner is the Boys Republic, because all the money you help us raise goes directly to them.

The Bullitt Nationals are held in different cities across the United States annually.  2010 will be on the West Coast, 2011 will be East, and 2012 will be Central. The rotation continues in that manner.  Location discussions are held at www.imboc.com.
