Photographer and racecar driver Jesse Bravo took this photograph of “Steve McQueen”
in 1962 in Del Mar California. The San Diego Chapter of SCCA raced at the local fair
grounds in Del Mar and Steve McQueen would join them when his schedule permitted. He
drove a Lotus open wheel racecar; the photographer raced a 1957 MGA, which was also
his main means of transportation.
